IT Application Manager (m/f/d)

Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 130 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.

Your tasks

  • Providing technical and specialist support for the applications used by our customer (client applications and background processing using database and batch functions)
  • Accepting, analyzing and resolving incoming incidents (malfunctions) and service requests (inquiries or special tasks) in third-level support
  • Ensuring and adhering to the agreed service level agreements and the response and troubleshooting times defined therein
  • Supporting service managers in the definition and implementation of operating and maintenance concepts for customer systems
  • Supporting our development team in the release process

Your profile

Successfully completed studies in (technical/business) computer science, mathematics, business administration or apprenticeship as an IT specialist for application development (m/f/d)

  • Good knowledge in the following areas:
  • Operating systems: Linux
  • Programming languages: Java, C++ (not a must)
  • Ideally experience with ITIL
  • Very good knowledge of German
  • Solution-oriented way of thinking and working as well as personal responsibility with regard to your area of responsibility
  • Open and flexible personality who enjoys working in a motivated and innovative team
