C++ Software Developer (m/f/d)

Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 150 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.

Your tasks

  • We maintain and develop a business-critical application — a merchandise management system — and are looking for a new team member (m/f/d) who is seeking a new challenge: migrating a complex, grown C++ application to a modern microservices architecture.
  • You’re not discouraged by legacy code, lack of documentation, or missing test cases.
  • You also have a strong interest in complex business processes and are skilled at drawing out requirements from your stakeholders.
  • We work as a team and expect you to be a true team player who keeps a cool head under pressure. This job is not for lone wolves, bystanders, or those who prefer the easy way out.

Your profile

  • The most important thing is that you are enthusiastic about the project and the application. It would be an advantage if you already have 2–3 years of professional experience in C++ development. Whether you have a degree in (Applied/Business) Computer Science, Mathematics, or Business Administration, or have completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development, doesn’t matter here.
  • Since the project language is German, you should have good German language skills, at least at B2 level.
  • Database knowledge in Oracle would be desirable, but not mandatory.

What we offer you (benefits)

  • The position can be performed 100% remotely throughout Germany.
  • 30 + 2 days of vacation (December 24th and 31st)
  • Flexible working hours for good work-life balance
  • Overtime does not expire – you can choose to be paid for them or take them off as days/hours
  • Workation & various sabbatical options
  • Individual further education/training
  • Company pension plan
  • Wellpess with a 50% employer contribution
    Sports activities (e. g. B2Run)
  • Annual summer and christmas parties (with partners and children), as well as an annual company outing domestic or abroad
  • Family-like working atmosphere
  • Corporate benefits

Regardless of your background, origin, gender identity, or individual circumstances, it’s your personality that interests us. That’s why we foster a culture of collaboration and respect, where every team member has a voice, can grow personally, and feels valued. We also welcome applications from people with equality or disabilities.
