Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 150 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.
Your tasks
- We maintain and develop a business-critical application — a merchandise management system — and are looking for a new team member (m/f/d) who is seeking a new challenge: migrating a complex, grown C++ application to a modern microservices architecture.
- You’re not discouraged by legacy code, lack of documentation, or missing test cases.
- You also have a strong interest in complex business processes and are skilled at drawing out requirements from your stakeholders.
- We work as a team and expect you to be a true team player who keeps a cool head under pressure. This job is not for lone wolves, bystanders, or those who prefer the easy way out.
Your profile
- You have the experience and drive needed for a challenge of this kind
- Whether you hold a degree in (business) computer science, mathematics, or business administration, or have completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development does not matter here
- You already have at least three years of experience contributing to the implementation of complex systems based on C++
- Working with and integrating relational databases is familiar to you
- For this project, very good German skills are required (at least C1)
