Backend Developer (m/f/d)

Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 150 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.

Your tasks

  • As a member of one of our cross-functional teams, you will develop customized software solutions in a diverse and engaging project environment for one of the world’s largest logistics service providers.
  • Design and implementation of individual software solutions.
  • Implementation of new features and further developments in the backend using a wide range of technologies, e.g. Java, JPA (Hibernate), Kafka, Spring Boot, SQL databases, and GitLab.
  • Design of software architectures or implementation of predefined designs and tasks.
  • From concept and development through to rollout, you will work closely with the development team and customers throughout the entire software lifecycle.

Your profile

  • Successfully completed degree in (applied/business) computer science, mathematics, business administration, or completed vocational training as an IT specialist for application development (m/f/d)
  • Several years of practical experience in software development
  • Strong expertise in developing backend systems using Java and Spring Boot
  • Experience working with relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, Oracle) and with Gradle and/or Maven
  • Ideally (but not required) experience with Kafka, CI/CD pipelines, and Azure Cloud
  • Very good German language skills
