Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 150 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.
Your tasks
- Continuous optimization, design, and implementation of database applications (Oracle and/or PostgreSQL)
- Responsibility for the creation and integration of new database packages
- Development of interfaces and database applications
- Operation and maintenance of complex databases
- Execution of Oracle/PostgreSQL database updates and patches
- Taking on diverse and interesting tasks in projects for our client (including customer communication), one of the largest logistics service providers in Europe
Your profile
- Successfully completed studies in (Applied/Business) Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, or vocational training as an IT specialist in application development (m/f/d)
- (Initial) experience in the database environment
- Knowledge of Oracle/PostgreSQL database administration and/or Linux operating systems is an advantage
- Practical experience in the following areas:
- Databases: Oracle and/or PostgreSQL
- Programming languages: SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle Forms
- Operating system: Linux
- Excellent German language skills
- Enjoy taking responsibility and have strong decision-making skills
- Solution-oriented and self-reliant working style
- Open and flexible personality who enjoys working in a motivated and innovative team
