Avision GmbH is an IT service provider specializing in software revival for application development and support. As an alternative to complete new implementations, which are often costly and risky, Avision modernizes companies’ legacy software in an efficient way. Our team currently comprises 130 employees – experts with more than 25 years of professional experience, but also young professionals with fresh ideas.
Your tasks
- As a member of one of our cross-functional teams, you will develop custom software solutions in diverse and interesting projects for major clients.
- You will assist us in the further development and modernization of complex web applications based on Java, Spring, and Java Server Pages (JSP).
- You will influence the introduction of new technologies and contribute with your ideas to the modernization and further development of our clients’ software.
- You have the freedom to choose the operating system for your laptop with us (Windows or Linux).
Your profile
- A high level of initiative as well as a solution-oriented and self-reliant working style
- An open and flexible personality with a passion for working in a motivated and innovative team
- Solid knowledge in the development of web applications based on Java Server Pages, JavaScript, and Spring/JavaEE
- Proficiency in SQL, preferably with experience in Oracle RDBMS
- Desired but not essential: experience with GitLab, GitLab CI/CD, Maven
- Very good German language skills
